Newman loves going here, and voluntarily charges down the ramp and into his groomers arms at every visit. If he wasn't happy with the establishment, he knows how to let me know, but that isn't the case. He would be reluctant to enter the place.
Dogs don't get crated unless they behave badly. There is a seperate play area, so large dogs can be kept apart from smaller dogs. If you do want your dog to be crated, they can certainly accomodate you. For the most part dogs are allowed to play in the grooming area, which is easily viewable behind glass french doors. When you go to pick up you dog, there is usually half a dozen noses pressed against the glass to see who's coming.
He gets the nicest cut you can imagine and every where I go people comment on how cute he is. Lots of groomers just want to buzz all the fur off because that's easy and customers think they're getting their monies worth out of the grooming. Not here! His leg fur is always left longer than his body fur and they've never had to cut his adorable long ears and tail, other than to shape them.
I've been a long term client and take my dog Newman in every two weeks for routine maintenance (bath and a brush out). Every third visit he gets a full grooming.

The temperature is always comfortable and not oppressive. I cannot begin to describe how many grooming establishemnts I visited who didn't have air conditioning in the summer or reasonable heat in the winter.
I took my new dog for a trim in March. I had never used a groomer before. Hilde wanted to cut her a lot, but I wasn't ready for that...just a trim. Well, afterwards my Daisy looked adorable...and next time I'll let Hilde cut her more, especially for the summer. I have no need to be worried! And I thought the price was very reasonable. She'll be going back for that summer haircut soon! And no cages for the dogs while they're waiting. Nice touch!
Let me assure you that the owner, Christian, would not hire just any groomers for this place. I've seen him go months and months losing business while he searched for replacement groomers, rather than simply hire anyone after some employees departed. If they work here, you can assume they're great groomers.
I absolutely love this place! They always are able to fit my 2 dogs in for an appointment, even if I call last minute! The place is immaculate and they really seem to care about my pets. My dogs even like to go there! Also if you need to you can leave the dogs there all day to get groomed and pick them up after work! The customer/animal service is excellent!
