South Branch Veterinary is a very special type of business. The care and concern they take with my dog Courage is wonderful. Newly adopted in 2014, Courage had been traumatized and was terrified of having her nails clipped. It took at least 3 technicians to get the job done. Now when I take Courage for her pedicure, she is in and out in less than ten minutes.
Terrible experience. I’ve been a customer for many years. I was late on one payment for tests run on my dog which was 100% my fault as I worked with my insurance, which I later paid in full. As a result they stated that they “no longer wish to continue their client-patient relationship” with me. That’s fine and that’s Dr. Hunton’s prerogative if that’s what she desired. But what really angered me was she avoided all contact and conversation with me to the point where she had her assistant Ashley call me to say: “Dr. Hunton is sticking with the no service order and she will not be calling to speak with you.”

The vets and technicians take a personal approach with Courage. I am given a card with all of her vaccinations listed, and due dates for the future.
The woman answering phones this morning is rude! Our one minute phone call consisting of asking if they treat cancer followed by asking who in the area does ended with her abruptly hanging up the phone. So unnecessary!
I find the whole experience extremely unprofessional and it leaves me frustrated with a boxer dying of cancer and having to urgently find a new vet to get the prescription food she needs. If she answered my calls and messages weeks ago, this all could have been settled. I will never be back and encourage everyone to find a more friendly veterinarian that is willing to at least answer a phone call.
They made our kitten feel so comfortable. We will definitely be back with our dogs.
